How do i get there? True Nature is approx. 45 minutes from Chiang Mai Town and is easily accessible with local taxi’s and grab drivers, please show drivers these directions or use our google maps directions. (Please note grab drivers will occasionally ask for extra money once they realize they will not find a return fare)
When do i check in & checkout? Our check in time is between 2-3pm on your arrival day. This gives you enough time to settle in and be ready for an afternoon yoga class. If you need to arrive earlier there is a 400 baht charge that will include your lunch and use of facilities. On your departure day check out time is after breakfast at 10:30am. if you need to check out later the room must still be vacated by 10:30am and there is a 400THB charge per meal and 400THB charge for the afternoon yoga class.
How do I pay for my retreat? All retreat booking require a deposit which is paid online before arriving, the remaining amount is to be paid on arrival in cash only. We do not accept foreign currency or credit cards or paypal.
Do you have lots of Animals? Over the years we have adopted many loving animals that share the property with us. The cats or dogs may occasionally visit you on your balcony or pop into the Shala to say hi. If you have a phobia of animals we may not be the best place for you to visit.
What’s the weather like? The weather in Thailand is generally hot, however during the months of December - February Chiang Mai experiences some cooler weather. We are up in the mountains so the mornings and nights can get cold, please bring at least a few warm clothes with you if you are visiting during these months.
What should I bring? Please bring comfortable clothing for yoga and meditation, some warm clothing for the winter months (December to February). A reusable water bottle, a small flashlight is handy (phone torch works well), some mosquito spray if you are sensitive, and enough cash to pay some of the excursions/activities if you plan to join.
Hygiene Products: In order not to disturb the natural eco-system, we ask that you only bring and use natural hygiene products (soap, shampoo, conditioner ect). If you don’t have any of these don’t worry, we have locally sourced products available here to purchase at cost price. Please do not use chemical products while staying at True Nature.
Can I get to Pai from True Nature? yes you can book the minivan online and then ask that the driver pick you up at the 7/11 nearby our place. If coming from Pai you can do the same but ask that the driver drops you at 7/11. From 7/11 you will need to walk about 15 minutes to reach True Nature.
Do I need to bring a yoga mat or any other equipment? No, We have a very well equipped yoga shala with all the equipment you will need to participate in the yoga and meditation sessions.
How many nights should I stay? our retreats range from the minimum 3 nights right through to 3 weeks. We understand that how long you choose to stay with us is dependent on your personal situation, however to get the most out of our retreat programs we recommend staying at least 5 nights
Do you have wifi? Yes, We have available Wi-Fi only in the dining area, none in the rooms. You can use it as you need to, however we do encourage you to take a step back from technology while on retreat. If you need fast internet connection while here please purchase a local sim card with data before you come.
Can I do Laundry? We can offer laundry services for a small cost if needed, but if you have any delicate or special items, please keep them to wash after your retreat.
What about my valuables? please take care of any valuables that you bring on retreat, we are not responsible for any items that are lost or missing. If you want us to store your valuables, please give them to us on arrival.
What kind of yoga and meditation will we be practicing? Please read our detailed description of the yoga & meditation we share here.
Do I have to participate in all of the optional daily activities? No not at all, the daily activities are completely optional. You’re welcome to just spend your days relaxing in a hammock or reading a good book.
Can I smoke while on retreat? yes, there is a designated smoking area. Please do not smoke in the communal areas or rooms where it may affect other guests.
Do you have a drugs and alcohol policy? Yes, we have a STRICT no drugs and alcohol. Please do not bring drugs or alcohol even if you don’t plan on using it here.

I’m a beginner, is this retreat ok for me? Yes, we welcome beginners to take the first step experiencing yoga and meditation on our retreat. just be sure to come with an open mind and a can-do attitude. You probably won’t (and don’t need to) do every yoga pose and master every meditation, your first yoga experience will likely be more about moving through some of the foundations and accepting the challenge of exploring a new kind of practice.
How do we choose the daily activities? We will discuss as a group with all retreat guests each evening to plan the following days activity. If there is a specific activity or activities you want to do while staying with us we will do our best to make it available for you.
